Farewell to the exhibition dedicated to Dmitri Hvorostovsky

On November 22, artists of the Krasnoyarsk Opera House are going to take part in a farewell ceremony at the Yudin Museum-Estate: the Voice That Conquered the World exhibition dedicated to the world-famous singer Dmitri Alexandrovich Hvorostovsky will soon close. It has been on since September 25, 2018.

People’s Artist of Russia, the head of the opera company of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Larisa Marzoeva (the aspiring singer Dmitri Hvorostovsky became her stage partner many years ago), laureates of international competitions Denis Grechishkin, Zoya Rzheplyanskaya and Daria Ryabinko will participate in the event. They will perform romances, songs, duets and arias from operas. Denis Grechishkin was lucky enough to perform along with Dmitri Hvorostovsky, and he’s going to share his memories of his communication with the legendary artist.

An important part of the event will be a tour to the Voice That Conquered the World exhibition. It’ll be conducted by the author of the exposition, the head of the Exposition Department of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Museum Yana Starodubtseva. About 300 exhibits related to the life and work of Hvorostovsky are presented at the exhibition, many of them are rare. These include portraits, theatrical costumes, personal belongings, diplomas and awards, performance posters, as well as the items which tell the story of the young Dima's first steps in music: childhood and family photos of the singer, his music school progress book with grades, and many other items.

The event begins at 3 p.m. Entrance is free.
