November 2023: opera and ballet debuts

In November 2023, both freshmen and experienced artists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre are going to introduce their first performances in opera and ballet productions.

The first show of the month - the Leo Delibes' opera Lakme - will take place on November 3, and for the first time, the young tenor singer Kirill Pankevich will come to the stage as the Fortune Teller. Kirill still studies at the Hvorostovsky Siberian Institute of Arts; since September, he has been an intern at the opera company of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.

The romantic ballet Catarina ou la Fille du Bandit to the music of Cesare Pugni will present the following debut performances of solo roles: Diavolino - Grigory Botenkov (November 10), Florinda - Anastasia Nigmatulina (November 10) and Arina Osipyuk (November 11), Innkeeper - an experienced artist and theatre tutor Ivan Karnaukhov. Among the three tavern musicians, Rodion Zinyak will take the stage for the first time on November 10.

In Romeo and Juliet by Sergei Prokofiev the following artists will debut in solo parts: Signora Capulet - Anastasia Nigmatulina (November 18) and Ksenia Lyapina (November 19), Nurse - Arina Osipyuk (November 18). As Romeo's Friends, a.k.a. Comedians - Vladimir Bragin (November 18), Alexandra Ermicheva, Sakiho Kobayashi, Nikolai Mashukov (November 19).

There will also be debutants in the spectacular crowd scenes of these ballets: Alexandra Ermicheva, Ksenia Krentovskaya, as well as Japanese dancers Sakiho Kobayashi, Rino Fukuoka, Sakoya Hinata and recent graduates of choreographic educational institutions Ruslan Abolmasov, Dmitri Anosov, Dmitri Belsky, Dashi Erbaev, Dmitri Korabanko, Artiom Mazunin, Nikolai Tanasescu, Kirill Terekhin, Bato Tushinov.

Two dancers are going to debut in the production of Juno and Avos by Alexei Rybnikov on November 22: Nikolai Mashukov as the Holy Fool and Valery Guklenkov in two roles at once - Count Rumyantsev and the Governor.
