Stars of the world opera in Krasnoyarsk

From January 31 to March 30 will pass the VII International festival "Parade of stars at the Opera" at the Krasnoyarsk state opera and ballet theatre. It will be devoted to the honored artist of the USSR Galina Vishnevskaya, the 90 anniversary since the birth of whom is celebrated in 2016.

Parade of stars at the OperaGalina Vishnevskaya – the outstanding opera singer of the XX century, the owner of surprising beauty of  lyrico-dramatic soprano. In 1952-78 – the soloist of the Bolshoi theatre where sang about 30 parts. Galina Vishnevskaya appeared on all largest stages of the world: Kovent Garden, Metropolitan Opera, the Grand Opera, the La Scala, the Munich Opera, etc. she was the first performer of a number of Dmitry Shostakovich and Benjamin Britten's compositions devoted to her. During career of the actor the singer created a set of unforgettable female images in the Russian and West European opera masterpieces. The singer is awarded by the most prestigious world awards for an invaluable contribution to world musical art, numerous awards of the Governments of the different countries. The "Parade of stars at the Opera" festival – unique opportunity for Krasnoyarsk citizens to get acquainted with creativity of outstanding masters of opera singing and the conductors representing the Russian and European school without leaving for city boundaries.

This year the program of the festival included gala concerts with participation of soloists of the Center of opera singing of Galina Vishnevskaya, and also the best samples of world opera classics: "Aida" and G. Verdi's "Requiem", "Eugene Onegin" and "Queen of spades" of P. Tchaikovsky, "Boris Godunov" of M. Mussorgsky, "Prince Igor" of A. Borodin, "Tosca" and "Madam Batterflay" of G. Puccini, and also the premiere of this season – L. Kerubini's "Medea".

Within two months the public will be addressed by eminent opera singers and conductors from Russia, Italy, the USA, Slovakia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia. Among them: soloists of the Bolshoi theatre – honored actresses of Russia Irina Dolzhenko and Elena Zelenskaya, honored artists of Russia Aleksandra Durseneva, Marina Lapina, Mikhail Kazakov, and also Maxim Pasteur; the Maryinsky theatre – the honored artist of Russia Ahmed Agadi and the people's artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan Askar Abdrazakov; "Astana the Opera" – Zhupar Gabdullina and Talgat Musabayev. Olga Nesterova (Cheboksary), Fabio Mastranzhelo (Italy), Peter Feranez (Slovakia), Sergey Hanukayev (USA), Dmitry Volosnikov ("the New Opera", Moscow), Alexander Anisimov (Belarus), Damian Iorio (Italy), Denis Vlasenko (Moscow) will conduct the maestro's performances.
