The debuts of October: Giselle, Raymonda, Cinderella, Swan Lake

Artists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre keep on developing their skills by learning new parts.

In the Adolphe Adam’s ballet Giselle, Maria Kuloshvili and Yuri Romanchuk will make their debut in the opening pas de deux. The show will take place on October 8.

On October 11, Daniil Kostylev and Fiodor Piskarev will debut as the noble knight Jean de Brienne and the villain Abderakhman in the Glazunov’s ballet Raymonda. Elena Svinko is going to play the part of Raymonda in this opera for the first part on October 13. On October 11, the guest artist from Italy Marco di Salvo will debut as the first friend of Jean. Remarkably, the part of the protagonist’s second friend will also be performed by the Italian - Marcello Pelizzoni, who has already won the love of the Krasnoyarsk audience. Other invited foreign dancers are from Spain: Francisco Gimenez Ruiz (grandpas) and Nerea Astorga (Saracen dance) will make their debut in the Raymonda ballet.

On October 29, Georgy Bolsunovsky will debut in Prokofiev’s fairy-tale ballet Cinderella. On October 30, the performing of the Benno part in Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake will be the first for Fiodor Piskarev.

There will be no debut performances for the opera company of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre in October 2019; however, it should be noted that on October 12, the invited mezzo-soprano soloist Yekaterina Fedotova from St. Petersburg will take the Krasnoyarsk stage for the first time in the Rimsky-Korsakov’s opera Sadko.
