The project of walking tours Opera Stories starts at the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre

A project of spectacular tours along the theatre’s backstage for adult audiences starts at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. The first walking tour takes place on April 20 and is dedicated to Giuseppe Verdi. The start of ticket sales is scheduled for April 5.

The beginning of a large walking tour project is associated with the Italian opera genius, since on April 25, the Theatre will host a large-scale VERDI GALA closing the festival Stars Parade at the Opera. Slovtsov. The concert programme will include the favourite excerpts from the composer's works.

The repertoire of the Theatre already includes The Path of Orpheus - an immersive production for children that helps kids look behind the scenes. Now, adults will also have the opportunity to see the Theatre from a different perspective, uncover its secrets and mysteries, and listen to exciting opera stories.

On the tour, the guests will learn about the construction of Theatre Square, walk through all three floors of the foyer, get on the stage and behind it, as well as into dressing rooms including a visit to Dmitri Hvorostovsky’s one. The information about the “Siberian Nightingale” Pyotr Slovtsov and composer Giuseppe Verdi will be added to the narration about history and current life of the Theatre. A mini-concert will close the tour: soloists of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will perform several popular arias from Verdi's operas.

Further events from the Opera Stories project will, of course, correlate with each other but at the same time, they’ll be unique: each tour will be dedicated to different topics and convey new impressions and emotions to the audience.
