The theatre will host a charity concert dedicated to Dmitri Hvorostovsky

On November 22, the day when the outstanding baritone Dmitri Khvorostovsky passed away, a concert of his memory will take place at the Krasnoyarsk Opera House.

Since February 2018, the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre has been named after Khvorostovsky. Exactly here he began his brilliant opera career, gained his singing experience, his colleagues and partners still work here.

Director Daniil Dmitriyev says about the concert program: “On this day, we’ll remember the best works performed by Dmitri Alexandrovich.

He was very fond of Russian romances, and we’ll hear the romances of Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky performed by soloists of the opera theatre. The best parts that Hvorostovsky sang in our theatre will be as well performed - Onegin, Roberto and Figaro. The concert program includes not only opera performances but also stories of people who worked with the great singer. Our maestro Anatoly Chepurnoy, baritone Oleg Alekseev, who were taught by vocal teacher Yekaterina Iofel along with Hvorostovsky, as well as his stage partner Larisa Marzoeva will share their memories. We prepared videos of Dmitri Alexandrovich’s performances, which he gave on the scene of the Krasnoyarsk Opera House, and photos of his best roles.

It’ll be the charitable event, you need an invitation ticket to visit the concert - it can be received in the theatre before the concert. The concert starts at 7 p.m.
