The theatre will show the movie opera "Cavalleria rusticana", the director Franco Zeffirelli

On February 19 the Krasnoyasrk opera and ballet theatre for one day will turn into movie theatre. Within the VIII International festival "Parade of Stars at the Opera" devoted to Elena Obraztsova will take place the display of the movie opera of Franco Zeffirelli "Cavalleria rusticana".

"Cavalleria rusticana"This film shot in 1982 is recognized as genre classics for a long time. In statement there is everything – both magnificent music of Pietro Mascagni, and the best opera voices of the XX century – Placido Domingo, Elena Obraztsova, Renato Bruzon, Fedora Barbieri, shootings outdoors, orchestra and chorus of La Scala theatre, and magnificent suits.

The plot of this small opera is rather simple: all action happens within one day – the holiday of Easter saddened by treason and murder.

The main part of "Cavalleria rusticana" was performed by the opera prima Elena Obraztsova. Experts on the opera say that Obraztsova was the best Santuzzey of all times and the peoples. Nobody managed to play temperamental Elena Vasilyevna with her sufferings and passions after her so. Before display of the movie the opening speech will be delivered by the famous specialist in drama study, the musical critic and the librettist, the poet, the author of several fundamental books about the opera and opera singers Alexey Parin.

As the musical critic Alexey Parin writes for the leading Russian, European and American newspapers and magazines, including Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Stuttgarter Zeitung, Sunday Times, Washington Post, Opera, Opernwelt, Opera International. A. V. Parin is the author of the libretto more than 10 operas staged in Russia and Germany. Its verses left separate books (Moscow, 1991, 1998; Freiburg, 1992) were also printed in the domestic and foreign press.
