Vadim Prudnikov is an international contest awardee

The principal singers of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Vadim Prudnikov, Ksenia Khovanova and Davit Yesayan took part in the prestigious 25th Ferruccio Tagliavini International Vocal Competition. The competition was held between March 26 and April 2 in the Austrian town of Deutschlandsberg.

Young artists have successfully completed all the three rounds of the competition. As a result, Vadim Prudnikov was awarded the title of laureate of the 3rd degree. Ksenia Khovanova and Davit Yesayan won the competition diplomas.

The contestants were judged by a jury chaired by renowned opera singer Fiorenza Cossotto (Italy). The jury included conductor Richard Bonynge (Australia), head of the Piacenza theatre Cristina Ferrari (Italy), teacher of opera singing in Italian Anatoly Gusev (Italy), director of the Graz Opera House (Austria) Nora Schmid, and others.

It’s worth reminding that in 2018, the soloist of the Krasnoyarsk Opera House Sevastian Martyniuk also won the III prize at the Ferruccio Tagliavini competition.
