We congratulate Svetlana Cheremnova on the victory!

The Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre’s soloist Svetlana Cheremnova won the international competitive festival “Siberia lights up” that took place in Krasnoyarsk on February 15-19. She was awarded in the nomination “Academic vocal. Solo -  professional”.

She sang the aria of Katerina Izmailova from “Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District” by Dmitri Shostakovich and the romance “Whether the Day Reigns” by Piotr Tchaikovsky. Concertmaster - Olga Simanovich.

“Such competitions are very important for a singer. During the performance you put out strength, do your best”, - Svetlana Cheremnova says, “The fact there were not only jury judges but also spectators provokes more anxiety and lets more responsibility fall on you. You try to achieve the highest standard that is established by your theatre”.

Artists and groups from radio and TV companies, theatres and movie industry, concert organisations as well as students of art schools and theatrical institutes, and amateur singers took part in the competitive festival.

The competition jury consisted of music academies’ members, professors of leading theatrical high schools of Moscow, St.Petersburg, Novosibirsk, honoured cultural activists and eminent art experts.
