We invite you to the benefit performance of the choir of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre!

October 13 at 19:00 we invite Krasnoyarsk citizens and guests of the city to the benefit performance of the choir of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. This concert will be the continuation of a long tradition started by the founder of the choir Yefim Mayevsky, and for many years the main choirmaster of the theatre, Dmitry Khodosh, supports it.

choirThis evening the collective will appear before the public in an entirely new way. "Everyone is accustomed to seeing the choir at the opera academic. But we want to show ourselves on the other side, - says Dmitry Khodosh. "There will not be opera number at our concert." We will perform ensemble, jazz and modern compositions. There will be guitar, bass guitar, percussion instruments".

The program of the concert is composed in such way that it will be interesting to a wide range of listeners and will emphasize the variety of the choir's repertoire. It will include original processing of folk songs, jazz sketches and choral miniatures of various composers.

The choir is an integral part of most performances of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and the decoration of any production. He creates a musical palette, emphasizes the mood of the characters, strengthening or smoothing the emotional heat, and conveys the atmosphere of the work.

The history of our choir begins with the first creative season of the theatre. Its founder, honored art worker of Russia, Yefim Kondratievich Maevsky, supervised the team til 1994. After him, the chorus master was Natalia Bush, and since 2006 - Dmitry Khodosh.

Nowday, the choir of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre has about 60 people and all of them are professionals in their field. Along with the young artists, there are also those who have served at the theatre almost from the day of its opening, among them Alevtina Odolenko and Olga Potapova.

The repertoire of the choir is not limited by classic works. In addition to participating at the repertoire performances of the theatre, the team regularly performs independent programs at city and regional events.
