The major event of the Forum will be the International Ballet Competition Grand-Prix of Siberia. The premiere is dedicated to the 175th anniversary of its first production. This is a reconstruction of the choreographic drama genre; the audience of the 21st century will see it for the first time because this ballet of the legacy of the outstanding choreographer Jules Perrot was forgotten for more than a hundred years.
The highlight of the Forum will be the anniversary night of People's Artist of the USSR Mikhail Lavrovsky and the ballet Nijinsky of his production (November 17). The ballet stars will take part in the event: People's Artist of Russia, prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theatre Maria Alexandrova and Honoured Artist of Russia, premier danseur of the Bolshoi Theatre Vladislav Lantratov. There’ll be more interesting events that will be announced later.
The choreography mysteria Leningrad Symphony (Lamento), already beloved by the Krasnoyarsk audience, will also be performed within the international forum. It’s based on the music of Syumak, Shostakovich and Mozart and staged by the Artistic Director of the Krasnoyarsk Theatre Sergei Bobrov (November 15).
The ballet forum will close with the awarding of the winners of the International Ballet Competition Grand-Prix of Siberia and a large gala concert with the participation of the stars of the Bolshoi Theatre; that is going to be a real dance holiday for the Krasnoyarsk audience.
