Vladimir Kudashev added the image of the barbarian invaders’ leader with a keen eye, an ironic smile and enticing, kind of “cat” intonations”, music critics say about the artist’s performance of the role. His partner on the stage will be the ex-soloist of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and now the Yekaterinburg Opera and Ballet Theatre artist, Sergei Osovin who’ll perform the part of Vladimir Igorevich. Also, our soloists will come on stage - Svetlana Ratslaf-Levchuk, Anna Gichik, Alexey Bocharov, Dmitri Ryabtsev, Nikolai Mishenev and others.
The opera “Prince Igor” is one of the most popular works among the Krasnoyarsk spectators. This is a bright performance of a large scale, it’s based on “The Tale of Igor's Campaign”. Nearly the whole collective of the theatre is involved into performing the opera - the choir, the opera and ballet soloists. More than 400 costumes were made for the performance - ancient military outfit and expensive furs and velvet hats for the characters belonging to the noble class.
