Maria Vysotskaya

Born on October 31

Set designer, costume designer Since 2023, Maria has been Principal Designer of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.

Education:

2021-2022: School of Contemporary Art at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art;

2018-2021: trainee artist at the creative workshops of the Russian Academy of Arts (theatrical workshop of B. A. Messerer);

2012-2018: theatrical workshop of the Surikov Moscow State Academic Art Institute;

2007-2011: graphic design of the Moscow State Art Academy in memory of 1905;

Since 2019, she has been a teacher at the theatrical workshop of the Surikov Moscow State Academic Art Institute.

Since April 2023, Maria has been Principal Designer of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.

As a stage designer and costume designer, she designed about twenty productions including:

2022 – the opera Lakme by Delibes, directed by S. Novikov, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre;

2021 – the opera A Feast in Time of Plague by Cui, directed by R. Krasavina, Winteravonden aan de Amstel, Amsterdam;

2021 – the opera Iolanta by Tchaikovsky, directed by S. Novikov, Kungliga Operan, Stockholm;

2020 - the opera Orpheus and Eurydice by Gluck, directed by A. Sokolov, the Glinka Chelyabinsk Opera and Ballet Theatre;

2020 – the ballet Romeo and Juliet by Sergei Prokofiev, choreographed by Yu. Klevtsov, the Glinka Cheyabinsk Opera and Ballet Theatre;

2020 - Antony and Cleopatra 3013 based on the works by Shakespeare, directed by E. Shamray, the Teatrium on Serpukhovka, Moscow;

2019 - Hello, Yorick! based on the works by Shakespeare, directed by E. Shamray, the theatrical loft Compass;

2018 - the ballet The Adventure of Doctor Ayibolit by Igor Morozov, choreographed bu Yu. Vyskubenko, the Glinka Chelyabinsk Opera and Ballet Theatre;

2018 - opera Prophetic Dream by Alexey Chernakov, directed by R. Krasavina, the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory.

 

Awards

The silver medal of the Russian Academy of Arts for sketches and stage design for the productions Anne Frank, Romeo and Juliet, Iolanta (2021);

Laureate of the Scene 2019 award for the best set design and costume design (Chelyabinsk, 2019);

The gold medal of the Russian Academy of Arts (2017).
