For the first time the soloist of our theatre’s opera company Andrei Kolobov will sing the role of Grigoriy Otrepiev in the Modest Mussorgsky’s opera “Boris Godunov”. The opera will be performed as a part of the IX international festival “Stars Parade in the Opera” dedicated to Dmitri Hvorostovsky.
“Grishka Otrepiev is quite an impressive character role. It enthralls me to play it, to try a type of character that is new for me, because I used to sing lyric tenor roles but this character is more dramatic”, - Andrei Kolobov says. “This part requires total dedication, it lets display acting skills in order spectators could see I’m not only an opera singer”.
Andrei Kolobov has been working in the Krasnoyarsk Opera since 2012. The part of an Indian guest in “Sadko” by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov was his debut on our theatre’s stage. On his repertoire he has roles in such operas as “Prince Igor”, “The Daughter of the Regiment”, “Viva la mamma”, “Amadeus” and others.
