The April 2025 programme at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre is brimming with ballet debuts, including several leading and principal roles.
Regular audiences may have noticed the constantly evolving line-up of soloists in Dante’s Catharsis, with new performers frequently taking the stage. On April 6, Lolita Moshkova and Nadezhda Vagal will debut in the roles of Androgyne and Audrin.
The iconic roles of Odette and Odile in Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake—a defining moment for any ballerina—will be performed for the first time by prima ballerina Kseniya Krentovskaya as Odile (April 11) and Anastasia Svetlishina as Odette (April 12). On April 11, Lilia Petrakovskaya will debut as the Spanish Bride, while Arina Nikishaeva and Alisa Shanina will take on the roles of Peasant Girls, also performing the Pas de Trois.
In the delightful comic ballet La Fille Mal Gardée by Peter Hertel, two dancers will make their debuts in the charming lead role of Lise—prima ballerina Anna Kudryavtseva on April 22 and rising star Valeria Ermakova on April 23. In the role of Colas, Lise’s love interest, the company’s premier dancer Olexiy Skalyun will take the stage for the first time, while Denis Kazarin will debut as the wealthy village landowner Michaud.
