The soloist of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre named after D.A.Hvorostovsky Daria Frolova won the XI International Festival Contest “Yuzhnouralsk-Salzburg”. She was the first in the nomination “Soloists” and got an invitation to take part in the Salzburger Festspiele in the summer of 2018. Daria performed The Queen of the Night aria from “The Magic Flute” by W.A.Mozart and a romance “The Nightingale” by Alexander Alyabiev.
The festival contest took place in Yuzhnouralsk from March 29 till April 1, 2018. Participants demonstrated their skills in several categories: artistic, choreographic and musical, which included instrumental and vocal genres. 300 participants from more than 250 cities of Russia, Germany, Kazakhstan and Belarus competed at the contest.
The chairman of the contest jury was a musician of world renown, professor, director and artistic director of the “Schlosskonzert Salzburg” Luz Leskowitz.
