On June 12, the entire country celebrates Day of Russia; on that day, Krasnoyarsk citizens will receive a musical and theatrical gift from the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. The gift is a broadcast of the recorded unique concert Cast Off Russia that took place only once, on May 14, 2018, and was dedicated to the memory of the great baritone singer Dmitri Hvorostovsky.

Cast Off Russia is a vocal cycle by Georgy Sviridov consisting of 12 songs based on poems by Sergei Yesenin. Dmitri Hvorostovsky loved the cycle very much and was posthumously nominated for the international Grammy Award for performing it. At the Krasnoyarsk concert, the work will be performed by one of the best baritone singers of Russia and Europe, laureate of international competitions, laureate of the Irina Arkhipova Foundation Award Vladimir Baikov.
In the second part of the concert, soloists of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will perform the popular Russian folk songs: The Song of the Volga Boatmen, Oh You Darling, My Beloved Lives, I’ll Go Outside, Along the Piterskaya Street, Kalinka, and others. Among these soloists, there are baritone singers Alexei Bocharov, People's Artist of Russia Vladimir Efimov, Alexander Mikhaliov, Andrei Silenko, Alexei Sokolov, Roman Hobta.
The magnificent male vocals will be accompanied by the Bardin Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic Russian Orchestra conducted by maestro Valery Shelepov. He is also music director of the event; production director is Maria Tikhonova; the author of this project and its artistic director is Honoured Artist of Russia Sergei Bobrov.
