On March 8, International Women’s Day, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre invites audiences to the concert Viva Mozart! The evening is part of the 15th International Festival Stars Parade at the Opera. Slovtsov and promises to be a true gift for lovers of vocal music.
On January 7, 2026, the world marked the 270th anniversary of the birth of the great master of melody, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The festival could hardly let such a milestone pass unnoticed.
At the conductor’s stand for this all-Mozart night will be Maestro Mikhail Tatarnikov, Music Director and Chief Conductor of the NOVAT (Novosibirsk Opera House).
Joining the Krasnoyarsk Opera company on stage will be Bolshoi Theatre soloist Anna Aglatova, for whom Mozart’s operas and concert arias are an essential part of her repertoire. She will perform the recitative and aria of Donna Anna from Don Giovanni, as well as Susanna’s recitative and aria and the duet of Susanna and the Count (Denis Grechishkin) from Le Nozze di Figaro.
The programme brings together Mozart’s true masterpieces and operatic favorites: the sparkling Champagne Aria of Don Giovanni (Denis Grechishkin) and Leporello’s famous Catalogue Aria (Anatoly Badaev) from Don Giovanni; the buoyant duet of Papageno and Papagena from (Dmitri Ryabtsev and Daria Frolova); and the dazzling Queen of the Night aria, also from Die Zauberflöte, requiring breathtaking virtuosity, performed by Daria Frolova. The show will also feature arias, duets, and ensembles from Idomeneo and Così Fan Tutte.
Mozart’s sacred music will hold a special place in the concert. The first half will include Laudate Dominum from the Vesperae Solennes de Confessore (Violetta Grishko and the theatre chorus) and the Hallelujah from the motet Exsultate, Jubilate (Angelina Zhitina).
Viva Mozart! will be one of the festival’s highlights, as Stars Parade of at the Opera continues in Krasnoyarsk through March 29.
