New Year – the most desired holiday in a year, it is loved both adults, and children. It is excellent opportunity to give and receive interesting and unusual gifts, to see pleasure on faces of darlings and dear people. We invite to spend New Year's and Christmas vacation in Krasnoyarsk state opera and ballet theatre! Perhaps, the most New Year's performance – Pyotr Tchaikovsky's ballet "The Nutcracker" of the Krasnoyarsk choreographic college will begin a festive series. It is a history based on E. T. A. Hoffman's tale "The Nutcracker and the mouse king" of the wonderful world of the childhood filled with bright paints and real miracles. About the brave girl Mari and Nutcracker, not afraid to throw down a challenge to terrible army of the Mouse king. It will be possible to plunge into the childhood on December 25, 26, 28 and 29.

On December 29 during the concert "The New Year's kaleidoscope" public will begin to whirl the New Year's Eve whirlwind of opera arias, ballet roles and unforgettable melodies. To the audience will present fragments from operas "Viva la mamma!", "Love drink", "A magic flute", fragments of ballets "Antigone", "Don Quixote", "Bayadere", will sound Johann Strauss and Imre Kalman's works.

The spring fairy tale – Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov's opera "Snow Maiden" will help to kindle a winter icy cold. This is the acquaintance all since the childhood a bewitching love story of the Snow Maiden and Mizgir, that the love is capable to melt even ice heart. Scenery and suits with a surprising accuracy transfer the magic atmosphere of the known fairy tale. All this turns statement into the recovered Old Slavic myth from which captures spirit both at children, and at adults. To visit Berendey's kingdom and to get warm in glow of pagan fires it will be possible on January 5.

Winter vacation traditional will come to the end with "A Christmas concert" is the real gift to all fans of opera art: blinking of New Year's fires, magic of the fallen in love arias, festive sounding of the best voices of the theatre, the most popular works of Russians and foreign composers.
