Guest soloists Anna Nechaeva and Eugeny Shagarov to sing in Tosca

Giacomo Puccini’s opera Tosca will be presented on the stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre as part of the 15th International Festival Stars Parade at the Opera. Slovtsov. Two shows will feature guest artists: on February 18, Anna Nechaeva of the Bolshoi Theatre will sing the title role, and on February 19, Eugeny Shagarov of the Abai Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theatre will appear in the cast.

Anna Nechaeva is a graduate of the Sobinov Saratov Conservatory. After her striking debut as Nastasya in the Bolshoi Theatre premiere of Tchaikovsky’s The Enchantress, she was invited to join the theatre’s opera company. Her current repertoire includes leading soprano roles in operas by Russian composers—Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Alexander Borodin, and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov—as well as by European masters such as Giacomo Puccini, Giuseppe Verdi, Georges Bizet, Antonín Dvořák, Richard Wagner, and Richard Strauss. She has collaborated with Opera Vlaanderen, the Washington National Opera, Naples’ Teatro di San Carlo, and the Israeli Opera. Recent engagements include Lisa in The Queen of Spades at La Monnaie in Belgium and the title role in Aida at the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen.

Eugeny Shagarov possesses a powerful dramatic baritone voice. He's a laureate of the Bibigul Tulegenova International Vocal Competition. He has been a soloist of the Abai Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theatre since 2018 and is also a guest soloist at the Mariinsky Theatre’s Primorsky Stage. His repertoire features leading roles in operas by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Giuseppe Verdi, Gioachino Rossini, Giacomo Puccini, and Pietro Mascagni. Shagarov successfully represents the Kazakh opera school on the international stage, appearing at competitions, festivals, and on tour in Uzbekistan, France, China, the United States, Kazan, and Turkey.
