In February, the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will introduce a new project Meetings at the Piano

Artists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre came up with a new project for fans of chamber vocal music - Meetings at the Piano. As conceived by the project authors, accompanist Eugenia Solunskaya and opera soloist Inna Spodina, this will be a series of atmospheric piano performances in the theatre foyer.

“The spearhead group includes opera soloists Anna Avakyan, Daria Ryabinko, Aliona Babivskaya, Denis Grechishkin, Sergei Telenkov. We named our community the Siberian Camerata, like the very Florentine Camerata, whose members created the genre of opera in Italy 400 years ago. We are going to speak about timeless values in art parlance and offer pure music with a minimum of external effects to our dear listeners. I think people have a need for such exquisite chamber lyrical vocal nights.” commented Eugenia Solunskaya.

The first concert of the project will take place on February 5 and be dedicated to Sergei Rachmaninov, because April 1, 2023, marks the 150th birthday of the great composer. The programme will include both popular art romance songs (It's Good Here, An Excerpt from Musset, Spring Waters) and rarely performed works: the dramatic scene Prayer, ironic sketches Did You Hiccup, Natasha? and A Letter to Stanislavsky.

The concert Under the Sky of Paris (to be held on March 11) is quite consonant with International Women's Day on March 8, for it will unite the most beautiful vocal lyrics by French composers - Francis Poulenc, Claude Debussy, Gabriel Fauré.

Tickets for the events of the Meetings at the Piano project are already on sale: at the theatre box office (open daily from 10:00 to 20:00), on the Krasopera.ru website, and on the websites of ticket operators in Krasnoyarsk.
