In Moscow at the Permanent mission of the Krasnoyarsk territory in case of the Government of the Russian Federation there took place the meeting on a case of opening of the IV International forum "Ballet XXI Century" which will pass at the Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre from 7 to 13 of November.

This year the forum is devoted to the 125 anniversary since the birth of S. Prokofiev. The event was attended by Minister of culture of Krasnoyarsk region Elena Mironenko, Director of the Krasnoyarsk state Opera and ballet theatre Svetlana Guziy, people's artist of USSR, Director of the theatre "Russian ballet" Vyacheslav Gordeev, honored worker of arts of Russia, General Director of the International Federation ballet competitions Sergey Usanov, honored worker of culture, associate Professor of film producing and management for the performing arts at the Russian University of theatre arts GITIS Yulia Bolshakova, honored worker of arts of Russia, the artist and producer of theatre and film Pavel Kaplevich, honored artist of Russia, artistic Director of the Krasnoyarsk state Opera and ballet theatre Sergey Bobrov, the head of the literary part of the theater "Russian ballet" Alexander Maksov.

The program of the forthcoming forum encluded more than 20 actions among which there are displays of performances, exhibitions, creative meetings, round table teleconference between Russia and France.

International contest of the ballet "Grand Prix of Siberia" will become the central event of the forum, young dancers from around the world will take part in it.

Outstanding figures of the domestic and foreign ballet entered the jury which will be headed by the people's artist of the USSR Yury Grigorovich. 

According to the Minister of culture of the region "I'm glad, that "Grand Prix of Siberia" is held within the forum, this year more than 40 artists coming to participate in this contest, and of course what is being held in the framework of the year of the anniversary of Sergey Prokofiev will be reflected in the program of the forum. All exhibitions, workshops, round tables, discussions, forum's program will be focused on commemorative activities on the territory of the Russian Federation during the whole year."

Vyacheslav Gordeev expressed gratitude to organizers of competition and emphasized that it highly raised level, and forum level increases each time.

A large number of questions from representatives of the mass media concerning the organizational moments of the forum, programs of performances of participants of competition and in general culture of the Krasnoyarsk territory sounded.

Participants of the meeting expressed confidence that the forum will take place successfully, creatively and will be interesting not only to specialists, but also a wide range of the audience and fans of the ballet of the Krasnoyarsk territory.
