On March 19, cultural figures of the Krasnoyarsk Region were honoured at a ceremony in the Grand Hall of the regional government. Among the award recipients were Irina Lychagina, Artistic Director and Principal Director of the opera company at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre, and principal dancer Georgy Bolsunovsky.

The Chairman of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Government, Alexey Medvedev, presented Lychagina with the diploma of laureate of the State Prize of the Krasnoyarsk Region in opera, while Bolsunovsky received the badge and certificate of Honoured Artist of the Krasnoyarsk Region.

Audiences will soon be able to see both artists on stage: on March 21, the theatre will present To Love in Wartime by Alexander Tchaikovsky, directed by Lychagina. On March 22, Bolsunovsky will perform the leading male role of Jean de Brienne in Raymonda by Alexander Glazunov.
