March 2026: new debuts on the ballet and opera stage

Artists at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre are keeping audiences on their toes with a wave of fresh role debuts this March. Several singers and dancers will perform new parts on our stage for the very first time.

The ballet company has three exciting debuts lined up for March 22 in Alexander Glazunov's Raymonda. Anastasia Svetlishina takes on the title role for the first time, while Margarita Belova makes her debut as the aristocratic Countess Sibylle de Doris. Rino Fukuoka also steps into the spotlight by performing the role of Henriette, Raymonda's devoted friend.

On the opera side, two artists mark notable debuts this month. On March 20, the theater's foyer sets the scene for Gian Carlo Menotti's haunting one-act opera The Medium, with Angelina Zhitina making her debut as the eerie, disembodied Voice.

On March 22, Elena Nikitina joins the cast of the intimate concert series Meetings at the Piano: Pushkin - In Search of the Mysterious N, lending her voice to the Pushkin-inspired programme for the first time.

Meanwhile, audiences across the Krasnoyarsk Region will see guest artist Elena Trunina as the Goat in the beloved musical fairy tale The Cat's House during the tour throughout the region.
