On May 31 and June 1, the Moscow Children’s Arts Festival Nebo (“Sky”) will take place in the Museon Arts Park. The exemplary Children’s Opera Studio of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre (O-Studio) will present its musical fairy tale Dreamer and His Friends on the festival stage.
The production Dreamer and His Friends — a kind-hearted and thoughtful tale about dreamers and pragmatists — was one of the highlights of the Theatre’s 47th season. The music for the show was written by the Krasnoyarsk composer Eugenia Teryokhina. Production director is Vyacheslav Tsyupa who is also the author of the literary basis of the production and the songs’ lyrics. Music director and choirmaster of the production is Artistic Director of the O-studio Natalia Tsyupa.
The Nebo festival brings together young creative ensembles from cities across Russia, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm, Voronezh, Tobolsk, and Kaliningrad. This vibrant event will feature 600 participants and more than 90 performances, concerts, and workshops.
The festival is organized by the Moscow Department of Culture and Gorky Park. The artistic director of the festival is People’s Artist of Russia Eugeny Mironov. All events are free and open to the public.
