The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre invites school and university students to a unique event offered at a special price.
On May 31, holders of the Pushkin Card will have the exclusive opportunity to attend a dress rehearsal of a touring ballet show by the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre. Tickets are available for just 300 roubles.
Visiting from Vladivostok, the artists of the Mariinsky Theatre will present two evenings of contemporary choreography on May 31 and June 1 at the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. The programme features two one-act ballets created by acclaimed composers and choreographers: Phaedra, set to music by Philip Glass and choreographed by Flemming Flindt, and The Firebird, set to music by Igor Stravinsky with choreography by Eldar Aliev.
Following the afternoon performance on May 31, young theatergoers will have a chance to meet Eldar Aliev and ask questions about his creative vision. The discussion will help audiences better understand The Firebird —a bold and evocative ballet that weaves together themes from traditional Russian fairy tales.
These shows are part of the Big Tour programme organized by ROSCONCERT under the Russian Tour and Concert Plan of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
