The soloist of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Svetlana Cheremnova became a laureate of the 144th International Competition Festival of Children, Youth, Adult Art Groups and Performers Admiralteyskaya Zvezda. The event took place between March 12 and 15 in Krasnoyarsk.
It’s worth reminding that Svetlana Cheremnova became a laureate of the 1st degree at the International Competition-Festival Siberia Lights Up the Stars in the nominated category Academic Vocal in February 2021. She sang La Gioconda's aria from the opera La Gioconda by Amilcare Ponchielli and Sergei Rachmaninov's romance song Sing Not, O Lovely One at the competition. The accompanist was Denis Ermolaev.
“Taking part in the competition provides an opportunity to test your professional skills, the ability to perform a work in such a way that the technique maximally helps express the artistic, semantic, emotional tasks assigned by the composer. The competition helps me understand what level of performance I am at now and whether I’m moving in the right direction,” commented Svetlana Cheremnova.
The jury of the nominated category Academic Vocal consisted of a contemporary vocal expert, a teacher of the Music Art Department at the Tchaikovsky College of Arts Vladimir Elizarov (Yekaterinburg), laureate of Russian and international competitions, singer Natalia Fedorovskaya (St. Petersburg), a teacher, laureate of the Diaghilev International Vocalists Competition Yulia Grebenik.
The chairman of the competition jury was a ballet star, ex-prima ballerina of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, People's Artist of Russia Natalia Chekhovskaya (Moscow).
The International Competition Festival Admiralteyskaya Zvezda is organized and held throughout the year by the Admiralteyskiy Center for Culture and Art (St. Petersburg) in several large cities of Russia, including Krasnoyarsk.
