Between February 8 and April 10, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will host the festival Stars Parade at the Opera. Slovtsov dedicated to the tenor singer Pyotr Ivanovich Slovtsov, a true enthusiast of opera art in our city. The tickets are already on sale. 

The  premiere of Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot staged by Sergei Novikov will open the Stars Parade. Slovtsov on February 8 and 9. Irina Oknina from the Helikon Opera and Aliona Diyanova from the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre are going to perform the title role; all other parts will be performed by soloists of the Krasnoyarsk opera company. In addition, the Stars Parade programme in winter will feature the operas Lakmé by Leo Delibes (on February 15 and 16) and Eugene Onegin by Pyotr Tchaikovsky (on February 18 and 19), as well as the gala concert Tenors Parade on February 23. 

The first festival events of the spring will be the resumed opera Il Trovatore by Giuseppe Verdi on March 1 and 2; the concert Puccini Passion on March 5 - it’s dedicated to the masterpieces of the verismo style, a realistic opera style that appeared in Italy in the 1890s. The programme will continue with the operas Aida by Giuseppe Verdi (on March 8 and 9) and The Queen of Spades by Pyotr Tchaikovsky (on March 15 and 16). On April 5 and 6, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's opera Sadko will be performed in the new music version by Dmitry Jurowski. Gala concerts of opera masterpieces will close the festival on April 9 and 10. 

In accordance with its name, the festival events will present a real parade of stars: Krasnoyarsk residents will see and hear more than twenty invited soloists and conductors from the country's leading theatres - the Bolshoi, Mariinsky, Mikhailovsky, Helikon Opera, MAMT, NOVAT, as well as from theatres in Italy, China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus.
