Ballet dancers of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Theatre are steadily working on their new parts. In February 2019, some of them are going to portray famous characters for the first time.
In the ballet Raymonda by Alexander Glazunov (the performance to take place on February 14) the winner of international competitions George Bolsunovsky performs the role of Jean de Brienne. The artist graduated from the Krasnoyarsk Choreographic College in 2015, at the same time he joined the theatre’s ballet company. In 2018, George took part in the Kultura TV channel’s project Bolshoi Ballet, where he performed several classical and contemporary pieces along with the principal dancer of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Elena Svinko.
New dancers are going to join the cast of the contemporary performance Romeo and Julia staged to the Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s music. During the Contemporary Choreography Night on February 10, the principal dancer of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Denis Pogorely will perform the role of Mercutio and the artist Fyodor Piskarev will come to the stage as Tybalt - both for the first time.
