The ballet company’s debuts in November

In November 2019, ballet artists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre are going to take the stage performing their new parts.

In the Tikhon Khrennikov’s ballet A Hussar Ballad Elena Svinko and Marcello Pelizzoni will perform the main roles of Shurochka Azarova and Lieutenant Dmitri Rzhevsky for the first time on November 9. A Hussar Ballad includes more debut performances: Anna Fedosova as Shurochka’s cousin Polina (November 8 and 9), Yuri Kudryavtsev as Denis Davydov, and Daniil Kostylev as a hussar.

Anna Fedosova will also make her debut in the Ludwig Minkus’s ballet Don Quixote on November 24. She is to dance the main part - young Kitri, and Yuri Kudryavtsev will perform the part of her beloved Basilio for the first time.

The ballet artists of the Krasnoyarsk Opera House can be envied for their fitness to work. It’s worth reminding that Elena Svinko and Marcello Pelizzoni produced excellent results at the 7th International Yuri Grigorovich’s Competition Young Ballet of the World in October: Elena has won the 1st prize and a gold medal, Marcello has won the 3rd prize and a bronze medal. Later, they performed in the International Festival of Professional Dance Theatres Art Bukhta in Sevastopol. As soon as they had come back to Krasnoyarsk, our young principal dancers took the stage in the Raymonda ballet: Marcello Pelizzoni as a friend of Jean de Brienne - on October 11, and Elena Svinko in the title part - on October 13.
