Musicians of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre participated in the concert dedicated to the golden baritone of Russia; it took place in the concert hall of the Hvorostovsky Siberian Institute of Arts .
The concert was held at the end of the Open Day of the Solo Singing and Opera Training Department. Students, graduates, and teachers of the Department, the Institute's symphony orchestra (headed by Pyotr Kazimir, conducted by Alexander Yudasin, staff conductor of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre) performed at it. The students performed excerpts from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera Le Nozze di Figaro as part of the project “Educational and Creative Cluster of Yenisei Siberia: Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the People's Artist of Russia Dmitri Hvorostovsky”.
Students and outstanding graduates of the Institute took the stage: soloist of the Krasnoyarsk Music Theatre Alexander Belopashintsev, soloist of the Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic Vitaly Osipov, soloists of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Daria Ryabinko, Davit Esayan, and Vera Baranova. All of them but Daria Ryabinko are teachers of the Solo Singing and Opera Training Department. They performed art romance songs of the repertoire of Dmitri Hvorostovsky.
The concert opened a series of the numerous events dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Dmitri Hvorostovsky. The pinnacle event will be the premiere performance of the opera Le Nozze di Figaro on the stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre in June 2022; later, the show will be performed in Minusinsk, Abakan, and Kyzyl.
The large-scale project is supported by the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and the Ministry of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region. The project partners are the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Fund for the Development of Arts and the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
