The Hvorostovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre won 10 Crystal Mask awards of the Theatre Spring-2019 Festival

On March 27, the festival Theatre Spring-2019 ended with a ceremony of the Crystal Masks awarding for achievements in the field of theatrical art of the Krasnoyarsk Region. The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre earned 10 awards.

  1. The Best Choreographer of a Musical Theatre Performance - Artistic Director of the Hvorostovsky Opera and Ballet House Sergei Bobrov for the choreography of The Rite of Spring ballet by Stravinsky.
  2. The Best Premiere Ballet Performance of the Season - The Rite of Spring by Stravinsky, choreographer and production director Sergei Bobrov;
  3. The Best Performance of a Small Scale Production in a Musical Theatre - The Medium by Menotti, production director Daniil Dmitriev;
  4. The Best Female Part in an Opera Performance - Olga Basova for performing Marcellina in the opera The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart;
  5. The Best Female Part in a Ballet Performance - Yekaterina Bulgutova for her performance in the ballet The Rite of Spring by Stravinsky and for the part of Raymonda in the ballet Raymonda by Glazunov;
  6. The Best Male Part in an Opera Performance - Ilya Krivchikov for the role of Bartolo in the opera The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart;
  7. The Best Male Part in a Ballet - George Bolsunovsky for the part of Jean de Brienne in the ballet Raimonda by Glazunov;
  8. The Best Male Supporting Part in a Ballet Performance - Egor Osokin for the part of Abderakhman in the ballet Raymonda;
  9. The Best Debut in an Opera Performance - laureate of international competitions Davit Yesayan for the part of Lensky in the opera Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky;
  10. The Best Debut in a Ballet Performance - Fiodor Piskarev for the part of Tybalt in the ballet Romeo and Julia by Tchaikovsky;

Natalia Tsupa, head of the Children's Opera Studio of the Theatre, was awarded a special diploma for educating young people.

The list of nominees also included The Night of Modern Choreography and Raymonda by Glazunov (The Best Premiere Performance of the Season in a Musical Theatre), Olesya Aldonina for her performance in the ballet The Rite of Spring by Stravinsky.
