The Star Parade at the Opera Festival introduces the opera Aida by Verdi

On February 3, the first opera performance of the 10th International Festival Stars Parade at the Opera will take place - Aida by Giuseppe Verdi, one of the most popular operas ever. Invited stars of the world opera art are going to take part in the performance.

The main protagonists’ parts will be sung by Svetlana Kasian (Italy) as Aida, Honoured Artist of Russia Akhmed Agadi (the Mariinsky Theatre) as Radamès, Sergei Leyferkus as Amonasro, People's Artist of Russia Irina Dolzhenko (the Bolshoi Theatre) as Amneris. The Maestro Alberto Veronese will be at the conductor’s stand. This will be a momentous event as well for the Krasnoyarsk Opera’s principal singer Eugene Sevastianov: he’s going to perform the part of the King of Egypt for the first time.

The programme of the Star Parade at the Opera Festival includes three more operas. On February 8, Maestro Valery Voronin (Astrakhan) will sing in Il Trovatore by Giuseppe Verdi. On February 16, the Queen of Spades by Tchaikovsky will be performed. Vitaly Serebryakov (Helikon Opera) will perform the part of Herman, the orchestra will be conducted by Alexey Nikonov, a Russian-born conductor living in Italy. The cast of Tosca by Puccini includes Honoured Artist of Russia Olga Guryakova (The Stanislavski and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre) as Tosca, at the conductor’s stand there’ll be Alan Freiles (Italy).
