On March 20, during the Main Collegium of the Ministry of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region, four members of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre were officially presented with distinguished regional honours.
Chief Executive of the Theatre Svetlana Guziy has been given the title of Honoured Figure of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region, while ballet tutor Demid Zykov has received the title of Honoured Artist of the Krasnoyarsk Region. During the ceremony, Minister of Culture Arkady Zinov personally gave them certificates and insignia recognizing their achievements.
Additionally, two of the theatre’s leading performers were named laureates of the Krasnoyarsk Region State Prize for their outstanding artistic contributions: Anna Avakyan in the field of opera, Matvey Nikishaev in the field of ballet. Both artists have received official certificates for their awards. Governor Mikhail Kotyukov extended his personal congratulations to all the honoured cultural figures of the Region.
The Krasnoyarsk audiences will soon have the chance to see these celebrated performers on stage:
Anna Avakyan will appear as Manon in Jules Massenet’s eponymous opera on March 23, as Liu in Giacomo Puccini’s Turandot on April 2, and take part in the grand finale concerts of the Stars Parade. Slovtsov festival on April 9 and 10. Matvey Nikishaev will take on the lead role of Knight Jean de Brienne in Alexander Glazunov’s Raymonda on March 29 and perform Diogenes in the contemporary ballet Dante’s Catharsis on April 6.
