Soloist of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, Honoured Artist of Russia Vera Baranova will take part in the music festival In the Name of Life. The event dedicated to the legendary Soviet composer Alexandra Pakhmutova will take place in Sochi on November 18–20.
Vera Pavlovna has joined the group of experts of the educational team of the festival. On November 18 and 20, she will hold master classes in the specialty Vocal Art. Academic Vocal. 20 singers from ten regions of Russia (including the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics) were selected to participate in the master classes.
Vera Baranova has been teaching at the Solo Singing and Opera Training Faculty of the Hvorostovsky Siberian Institute of Arts since 2006; currently, she is Professor and head of the Faculty. In Sochi, an outstanding singer and teacher will share the secrets of her mastery with young singers.
The programme of the festival In the Name of Life includes two large-scale concerts with the participation of opera and orchestral music stars. There, the master classes in the specialties of choral conducting, opera and symphony conducting, string instruments, wind instruments, and piano will also be held.
The music festival is supported by the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives providing grants from the President of the Russian Federation for the projects in the field of culture, art, and creative industries in 2022.
