Between September 27-29, leading soloists of the Krasnoyarsk Opera’s ballet company Yuri Kudryavtsev and Yekaterina Bulgutova will take part in three gala concerts to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Marius Petipa in the birthplace of the great choreographer.
The gala concerts will be held in the André Malraux Théâtre, Théâtre de Vanves and the Concert Hall of the Russian Embassy. The winners of the international ballet competitions Yuri Kudryavtsev and Yekaterina Bulgutova will perform the pas de Odile and Siegfried of the Swan Lake ballet and the adagio of Aurora and Désiré of the Sleeping Beauty - both ballets by Tchaikovsky.
Besides, photographs of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre performances will be presented at an exhibition dedicated to Marius Petipa at the Russian Embassy in Paris. The hosts of the choreographer’s anniversary celebration - the International Federation of Ballet Competitions - will also hold a scientific conference Marius Petipa - The Epoch of Classical Dance in the UNESCO conference hall with the world's leading ballet scholars, critics, prominent choreographers and theatre companies’ leaders.
