On November 21, laureate of international competitions, Honoured Cultural Employee of the Krasnoyarsk Region Anna Kiseliova is going to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her working in the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre by performing her solo concert.

For her anniversary night, Anna has chosen the title role in the Giacomo Puccini's opera Tosca, which she has been performing on the stage of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre for several years.

“Floria Tosca is my favourite part,” the singer explained her choice. “I consciously wanted to put on a real performance, not just a concert, as a special celebration of this event that is so important to me. There are parts that you can sing without warming up. When you start singing Tosca, the voice suddenly appears from somewhere. The roots of this choice stretch back to the days of my youth. When I studied in a music school, my grandmother gave me a book about the famous opera singer Hariclea Darclée. She was the first Tosca, Puccini created this opera for her. At her request, he wrote an aria for the second act, when Tosca expresses her feelings; initially, it wasn’t in the score. As described in the book, the composer's opponents were determined to skewer Puccini’s new work at the pre-premier run because the first act failed. But Hariclea Darclée saved this beautiful work with her voice, her skills. In Romania, there is a contest named after this singer; I went there, became its laureate. Such a thread connects me with Tosca, and there probably is nothing accidental in it.

In 1999, Anna Kiseliova made her debut on the stage of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre in the premiere of The Tsar’s Bride opera by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov as Lyubasha. Since then she has performed almost two dozen parts in classical and contemporary operas as well as children's performances.

Anna eagerly undertakes cultural activities, she often performs; music lovers in Krasnoyarsk and the Region know her well and love her as a

performer of romances and songs. In 2018, Anna received the title of Honoured Cultural Employee of the Krasnoyarsk Region.
