The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre’s principal soloist, Honoured Artist of Buryatia Mikhail Pirogov is going to perform on the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre in Vladivostok on November 15. He’s going to perform Herman’s arias of the Queen of Spades opera by Tchaikovsky.
Many a time, Mikhail Pirogov performed the part of the gloomy gambler Herman on the stage of the Krasnoyarsk Opera House. He also had a chance to perform on the Primorsky Stage before. Still, this performance can be called a debut, because he will take the stage as Herman in Vladivostok for the first time. Now the show rehearsals are in full swing.
Thus, two Opera Houses - in Krasnoyarsk and Vladivostok - temporarily swap their tenors in mid-November. On November 17, the principal soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre Primorsky Stage Mergen Saldanov will perform Radames in Aida by Giuseppe Verdi on the stage of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. Both singers are Honoured Artists of the Republic of Buryatia.
Mikhail Pirogov will take the homestage as the painter Mario Cavaradossi in the Tosca opera by Giacomo Puccini.
