A series of concerts is dedicated to the International Women’s Day on March 8

On the early spring days, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre presents a series of festive concerts, in which three conductors will demonstrate their skills: Vladimir Lande, Anatoly Chepurnoy and Ivan Velikanov.

March 3: an early music concert Baroque. Opera. Love conducted by Ivan Velikanov. This will be a kind of sequel to the concert Old Europe Christmas held in December 2020. The concert programme includes works by European composers of the 17th and 18th centuries; the mythological singer Orpheus will be a character connecting all these work. The love story of Orpheus and his wife Eurydice, whom he was not frightened to follow down to the underworld after her death, runs like a golden thread through many musical works over several centuries.

On March 5, chief conductor of the theatre Anatoly Chepurnoy will conduct the concert For the Beloved, Gentle and Beautiful! Its programme will be based on the most popular and favourite opera arias, songs and romances, instrumental and dance classics.

The Belcanto-Gala concert conducted by the conductor of the Krasnoyarsk Symphony Orchestra Vladimir Lande will be a real gift to beautiful ladies on March 8, the International Women's Day.

“It will be a cheerful festive performance. The pieces will be woven into a light comic plot, which I would describe as a “comedy of errors”. Artists will come out in the costumes of their characters, we will supplement the action with original video content. As the name suggests, the concert programme will include arias and duets mostly from Italian operas of the Bel Canto era. The best soloists of the Krasnoyarsk Opera House will perform them: soprano, mezzo-soprano, baritone, bass singers. A guest soloist possessing the highest male voice - the countertenor - will augment this timbres list. This performance is unique for Krasnoyarsk. We keep the lid on the artist's surname so far,” Vladimir Lande intrigued.
