The concert Belcanto Gala Or Women Time will be staged by director Viktor Vysotski

The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will present the concert Belcanto Gala Or Women Time to the audience for the International Women's Day. Its scriptwriter and production director is Viktor Vysotsky from St. Petersburg.

Viktor Vysotski is a man of versatile skills: he’s a pianist, composer, opera and concert director, journalist, teacher. Victor wrote the opera The Lefortovo Witch and created a new version of Mozart's opera Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Il Seraglio) for the Helikon-Opera Theatre, he performed piano in various venues of Russia and Europe and staged several operas and musicals in theatres of St. Petersburg. He is also the creator of notable concert projects that have been reflected in the mass media and on television: Rossini's Menu, Tchaikovsky's Mozart, Three Mozarts. Viktor Vysotski took part in The Stars of the White Nights, Sound Ways, Sacro Art music festivals (Germany).

“From time to time, women have to remind men that men "cannot live without women, no". The 8th of March is traditionally the best day to remind everyone of this. Including women themselves.  And the art of bel canto is a safe and proven method to do it! In the project Belcanto Gala Or Women Time, the battle of the sexes will be embodied in opera. Two confident men - a tenor and a baritone - will have to deal with famous strong and weak female characters of operas by Rossini, Donizetti, Bellini, Verdi, Gounod, and other great representatives of the brilliant era of "beautiful singing". Some confusion with letters containing declarations of love will create intrigue,” said Viktor Vysotski about the upcoming concert.

Music director and conductor of the concert is Vladimir Lande. The soloists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera House Vera Baranova, Zoya Rzheplyanskaya, Anna Avakyan, Inna Spodina, Mikhail Pirogov, and others, as well as guest singers Natalia Kirillova (the Tchaikovsky Perm Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre) and countertenor Vladimir Magomadov (the Bolshoi Theatre) are going to take part in the event.
