The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre’s principal soloist, People's Artist of Russia Anatoly Berezin won the special Star of the Contest diploma of the Siberian round of the 23rd Moscow International Romanciada 2019 Competition for Young Performers of Russian Romances.
Anatoly Alekseevich was recognized as the Star of the Contest in the Romanciada Without Borders nomination.
The competition of romance performers has the word Moscow in its name but it is international, and its rounds take place in several countries around the world between June to January. The rounds are held in Italy, Denmark, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Germany. And of course, in Russian cities. The Siberian round was held in Tomsk in November; the final found will be held in Moscow on December 8.
70 soloists of various ages - between 17 and 83 years old - took part in the Siberian Romanciada round. The geographic reach of the participants was very wide: from St. Petersburg and Saratov to Zheleznogorsk in the Krasnoyarsk Region.
