Tickets for the events of the Art at the Quadrat project are on sale again

Those who missed the first shows within the Art at the Quadrat project of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre have now the opportunity to see the project’s contemporary operas. Besides, the premiere of the Pyotr Pospelov’s opera Night at the Museum or the Testament of the Master will be held in February. The tickets are already on sale.

The Krasnoyarsk Opera House began to explore the Quadrat art loft at the end of the previous season; its address is Krasnoy Armii Street 10, building 4. The ultramodern opera thriller by Kirill Shirokov and Mark Buloshnikov The Haze (Marevo) will be shown there; it’s directed by the winner of the Nano-Opera 2019 Competition Elizaveta Korneeva. Performances will take place at 7 p.m. on December 12 and 13.

On December 14 (Saturday) at 6 p.m., you can visit the immersive performance of Hvorostovsky. Homecoming to the music of Aleksey Syumak. The world premiere of this story about the outstanding artist’s life and career was held at the 1st Dmitri Hvorostovsky Festival that took place in October. The performance is in the repertoire of the theatre but is the part of the Art at the Quadrat project.

On December 21 (6 p.m.) and 22 (12 p.m and 6 p.m), citizens will be able to see the premiere shows of the children’s opera Peter Pan to the music of Andrei Rubtsov directed by Maria Tikhonova. They’re as well parts of the Art at the Quadrat project.

Right after the New Year holidays - on January 8 and 9, 2020 (7 p.m) - strong emotions of music theatre fans will be stirred up by the Alexander Manotskov’s opera A Feast in Time of Plague based on the eponymous tragedy by Alexander Pushkin and directed by Elena Pavlova.

The long-awaited world premiere of the Pyotr Pospelov’s work based on Mozart’s sonatas - Night at the Museum or the Testament of the Master - will take place on February 14 and 16, 2020, at 7 p.m. both days. It’s directed by the guest director from Moscow Elizaveta Moroz. This is a chamber opera for four singers.
