Anatoly Chepurnoy was given a badge of honour on the anniversary of the Yenissei Governorate

Сhief conductor and Music Director of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, Honoured Artist of Russia Anatoly Chepurnoy received the anniversary badge of honour 200 Years of the Yenissei Governorate.

The Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region Alexander Uss solemnly presented the inhabitants of the Region with state and departmental awards of the Russian Federation, as well as awards of the Krasnoyarsk Region. As the head of the Region noted in his greeting speech: behind each insignia or diploma, there are labour achievements and sometimes real heroic deeds.

Anatoly Chepurnoy has been Music Director and chief conductor of the Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre since 1989; he has staged more than 60 opera and ballet productions. The musician's repertoire includes all major works of opera and symphonic classics, concert programmes of symphonic and chamber music, cantatas, and oratorios. The contribution of Anatoly Petrovich to the development of the Theatre and culture of the Region as a whole cannot be overestimated.

We must add that the anniversary badges of honour 200 Years of the Yenissei Governorate were also given to the chairman of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Court Nikolai Fuga, the head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Krasnoyarsk Region Igor Lisin, the mufti of the Krasnoyarsk Region Gayaz Fatkullin, and other famous citizens of Krasnoyarsk.
