Anna Avakyan to take part in the festival See Music

The principal singer of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Anna Avakyan will take part in the 9th Festival of Music Theatres See Music. She’s going to sing at the concert closing the festival in the Beethoven Hall of the Bolshoi Theatre on November 15.

The concert programme includes a romance art song by Mikhail Glinka: Anna Avakyan will perform to the piano accompaniment of one of the most famous Russian pianists, Honoured Artist of Russia Alexei Goribol.

Anna Avakyan will take the Krasnoyarsk stage very soon: she’ll sing the part of Natalia in Pyotr Tchaikovsky's opera The Oprichnik on November 23. On December 15, Anna will perform excerpts from bel canto operas in the chamber concert All Roads Lead to Rome within the project Harp Invites.

As for the Festival of Music Theatres See Music, it’s the most representative review of the Russian music scene. In 2024, it was held at all music theatres in Moscow from September to November and presented more than 40 productions of various Russian music theatres. The Festival was organized by the Association of Music Theatres headed by Artistic Director of the Natalia Sats Children's Music Theatre Georgy Isaakyan (Krasnoyarsk music fans know him as the production director of the opera Yermak by Alexander Tchaikovsky). The goal of the See Music festival is the forming of creative ties and contacts between theatres of the federal regions.

At the 2nd Festival See Music in 2017, the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre introduced the production of César Cui's rare opera The Prisoner of the Caucasus, which had not been staged in Russia for a hundred years.
