Soloists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Anna Kiseliova, Natalia Plotnikova and Maria Kuimova-Litvinenko took part in the Oleg Pogudin’s Gala Night. The concert of People’s Artist of Russia, a famous performer of romances and songs in many languages Oleg Pogudin was held to a full house.
Krasnoyarsk vocalists presented several pieces, demonstrating both excellent vocals and brilliant acting. Anna Kiseliova and Oleg Pogudin sang the duet of Sylva and Edwin of the operetta The Gipsy Princess by Kálmán as well as the song Non Ti Scordar di Me by Ernesto De Curtis; Natalia Plotnikova performed Nikolai Zubov’s romance Don’t Go, Stay by Me. Then, Anna and Natalia presented the audience with the Barcarolle of the Offenbach’s opera The Tales of Hoffmann and the duet of Liza and Polina of Tchaikovsky’s The Queen of Spades.
“The organizers of the concert offered a repertoire, we already knew almost everything, but there were also new works for us. We liked Oleg Pogudin’s orchestra very much: it was easy to sing to, and there was an opportunity for subtle nuances there. Highly professional musicians, so to say, grasped a situation on-the-go! I and Natalia, we were so anxious when we sang a duet together; and such a master of the genre of romance as Oleg Evgenievich keenly listened to us,” Anna Kiseleva shared her impressions.
It's worth reminding that Anna Kiseliova, Honoured Worker of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region, will take the stage performing the title role in the Giacomo Puccini’s opera Tosca on November 21.
