Ballet debuts to close the 43rd season

At the end of the 43rd theatrical season, ballet artists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will offer several of their first performances to dance fans.

Spectators have already fallen for the roles of a Girl and a Boy strikingly performed by Natalia Bobrova and Georgy Bolsunovsky in the choreographic mystery show Leningrad Symphony to the music of Alexei Syumak, Dmitry Shostakovich and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. But in the show that will take place on June 23, permanent performers will give way to their colleagues - Honoured Artist of Russia Yekaterina Bulgutova and laureate of international competitions Marcello Pelizzoni.

The unusual performance of Raymonda will close the theatrical season On July 1. In this choreography masterpiece based on music by Alexander Glazunov, artists of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia - leading soloist Alena Kovaliova and premier Denis Rodkin - will appear on the Krasnoyarsk stage in the main roles (Raymonda and Jean de Brienne).

Other principal dancers of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will perform parts in Raymonda for the first time: Natalia Bobrova and Georgy Bolsunovsky will debut in the Saracen dance, Yuri Kudryavtsev and Grigory Botenkov in the variation of four cavaliers, Matvey Nikishaev (troubadour Béranger), Fiodor Piskarev (a knight), Polina Mayagacheva (Countess Sybille de Doris). Natalia Bobrova will dance a solo variation in an impressive crowd scene - the Bolshoi Classical Dance.

The ballet Raymonda, staged with the support of the insurance company Ingosstrakh, will be a remarkable event in the cultural life of the city.
