Before going to Moscow, the Theatre will present touring performances on its stage

In July, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will go on tour to Moscow; there, it’ll present three productions - Dante's Catharsis, Barbe-Bleu, and Yermak - on the stage of the Helikon-Opera Music Theatre. But in June, before the tour, Krasnoyarsk spectators will have the chance to see these productions in their city.

  • June 2: Dante’s Catharsis, the ballet to the music of contemporary composers (production of the “classical modern” dance style about spiritual quests; artistic director of the project is Nikita Dmitrievsky);
  • June 16: Jacques Offenbach’s opera bouffe Barbe-Bleu (musical comedy directed by Sergei Novikov);
  • June 27: Alexander Tchaikovsky’s opera Yermak (based on historical events and created specifically for the Krasnoyarsk Opera House).

The metropolitan audience will see these productions on the following days:

  • July 9 – Barbe-Bleu
  • July 11 – Yermak
  • July 12 and 13 – Dante’s Catharsis.

Let us remind you that the tour of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre in Moscow is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and Rosconcert within the federal programme Big Tours, the general information partner is the Russian News Agency TASS. The project involves creative interaction between theatrical teams: a touring exchange of shows that unites the cultural space of Russia.
