On September 27, the presentation of Alexander Manotskov’s opera A Feast in Time of Plague will take place; its premiere is scheduled for November 2. The meeting with the production group will be held in the conference hall of the Hvorostovsky Siberian Institute of Arts at noon. Not only teachers and students will be allowed to visit the presentation, but anybody who wants to – future spectators.

The author of music and musical director Alexander Manotskov, stage director Elena Pavlova (she already worked with Manotskov on the opera Snow Maiden - successfully enough for the performance to be nominated for the Golden Mask this year), artist Ksenia Shachneva are going to attend the event.

The opera A Feast in Time of Plague is based on the well-known eponymous work by Alexander Pushkin. The opera's creators will talk about the features of the musical, scenic, and artistic solutions of the Pushkin’s masterpiece.

A Feast in Time of Plague is one of the premieres of the Art in the Quadrat project that will be performed at a new modern venue - the Quadrat Loft (Krasnoy Armii Street 10, building 4). It’s worth reminding that in early September, the presentation of the first event of the project Art in the Quadrat – the ultramodern opera by Kirill Shirokov and Mark Bulochnik The Haze – was already held.
