There will be a significant number of debut performances for both young and experienced artists in the productions of the last month of 2022 at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre; especially for the ballet company artists.
Already on December 3, Georgy Botenkov and Yury Kudryavtsev will make their debuts in the ballet The Black Man to the music of the Krasnoyarsk composer Oleg Prostitov; the are going toperform the parts of the Black Man and the Poet respectively. Ivan Karnaukhov will for the first time dance the part of Nijinsky in the eponymous production to the music by Sergei Rachmaninoff. Both productions are staged within the One-act Ballets Night.
On December 4 and 15, Artiom Golubev who only joined the opera company of the Krasnoyarsk Opera House this year will make his debuts in the iconic roles for any tenor singer: Jose in the ballet opera Carmen to the music by Georges Bizet and Pinkerton in the Giacomo Puccini’s opera Madama Butterfly.
In one of the most beloved by the Krasnoyarsk public ballets - Romeo and Juliet by Sergei Prokofiev - debutant Elena Mikheecheva will come to stage on December 8 as young Juliet. The following artists will play their new roles: Grigory Botenkov (as Tybalt - December 8), Oleg Ronsky (as Montecchi, Monk Lorenzo - December 8), Philip Arzhanov (as Duke, Paris - December 10), Anna Salenkova (as Signora Capulet - December 10), Ksenia Krentovskaya (as Soul of Mercutio - December 10).
In the children's ballet The Three Little Pigs to the music of Sanat Kibirova, Ilya Khaprov and Alexandra Ermicheva will perform the roles of Hedgehog and Squirrel.
On December 20 and 21, 2022, the opera Prince Igor by Alexander Borodin will traditionally be performed as part of festivities dedicated to the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre’s anniversary. In one of the most striking pieces of the performance - Polovtsian dances - Kirill Bulychev debuts on the 20th of December as the Rider, Anastasia Nigmatullina (December 20) and Anna Salenkova (December 21) as Persian women. Ksenia Lyapina and Aliona Alekseenko will debut as soloists in the first dance (December 20).
Just as in the previous years, 8 shows of the ballet The Nutcracker will be presented on the eve of the New Year. There are also debuts in this production: on December 23, principal dancers Maria Kuloshvili and Oleksiy Skalyun will for the first time perform the leading roles - Masha and the Prince.
