The Three Little Pigs to take place within the Family as a Gift project

Krasnoyarsk Regional Fund Yellow Stork. Krasnoyarsk Without Orphans and the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will team up again to make it possible for every child to have a family.

The traditional social and theatrical project Family as a Gift will be held for the seventh time. Kids from the orphanages of the Krasnoyarsk Region will participate in the theatre performances on the professional stage. The prime goal is to draw attention to the problem of orphanhood and to promote the adoption of orphans. On December 11, the children will take part in the children's ballet The Three Little Pigs by Sanat Kibirova. 12 children of the age between 3 and 10 years old will become actors.

For the guys, participating in a professional performance on a big stage is a new social experience: that is very valuable. The head of the fund Ruslan Mokrousov notes that these kids become more open in communication. Undoubtedly, it yields fruit: such children find parents faster. 51 orphans of the 66 ones who had taken part in the project were adopted.

It’s worth reminding that this effective way of working with children left without parental care appeared in the Krasnoyarsk Opera House in 2015: it was initiated by the principal dancer of the Theatre’s ballet company Natalia Bobrova. The performance Three Little Pigs was introduced to the public in 2015 and 2017. In 2016 and 2018, adults and young artists performed Igor Polsky's music fairy tale Terem-Teremok; in 2019-2021, the musical Mama by Gérard Bourgeois was chosen for the project: the one full of well-known melodies from the eponymous film. In 2022, the Three Little Pigs will again be part of the Family as a Gift project, and tickets for this important performance are almost sold out.
